Online recruiting holds many advantages for companies from ease of use to allowing for companies to being able to quickly find multiple applicants. Employers have found that online job recruiting is not only convenient to use, but also generates larger turnout rates and more qualified individuals.

The businesses who have began using these tools have noticed that the biggest advantage overall, is the fact that it has the ability to save them large amounts of money. The money saved is because it does not require the use of paper, postage, and other things of that nature. The HRfocus Special Report on The Pros and Cons of Online Recruiting makes mention to a nonprofit organization that saved over 100,000 dollars since they began focusing more heavily on Web-based sourcing. Like previously mentioned it also generates large amounts of applicants. Those applicants can also be highly qualified if industry based web searches are used. That is not saying that general job search engines such as Monster.com does not bring quality candidates as well. The fact that online recruiting is easy to use also draws companies to use it as well. Some companies use online advertisements that show they are looking for new employees, while others might post on a search engine that it needs a specific role filled. With massive increases in the use of online job searching it allows companies to find individuals who are more qualified to do the job. If a company has the opportunity to employee someone who will be effective and efficient at their position they in turn will become a more effective and efficient company. It seems to be a win-win type of situation of companies. The response rate to online ads is also much higher than that of newspaper listing.
