* Summary

*

* We have researched and found resume writing is an essential step towards getting an interview, achieving your career goals, and ultimately landing a job. A resume is a simple document that can transform your life into something meaningful and open the door to a new opportunity (State of California Employment Development Department, 2011). Today competition is global. Job coaching and resume writing tools have become an essential offering at universities and in the general marketplace (Moorhead, 2011).

* Although outlining your education and work experiences will be a large part of any resume, how you present this information is actually the most critical factor (State of California Employment Development Department, 2011). Use the tools described throughout this report, and you will replace an “all purpose” resume with one that speaks to your specific accomplishments in relation to the job, and company, to which you are applying. This is a smart, market-driven response to any job posting (Moorhead, 2011). Apply this targeted resume approach, stand out from the crowd, and get hired faster.
