1. ABSTRACT

In order to judge the performance of VINAMILK Corporation, a giant in the dairy product industry of Vietnam, five categories consisting of profitability, efficiency, liquidity, gearing and investment are given for evaluation. Some common important ratios are selected to see how well the company has run its business for the last two years.

The company has proved its dominant position by having very impressive ratios of profitability. Each year, it can generate a net profit of almost 25%, which many experts consider an outstanding performance, especially during the current global financial crisis.
