McDonald’s

McDonald’s has decided to join the “Going Green” bandwagon, they hope to provide ideas for Energy conservation, they’re finding further ways to increase energy efficiency in their restaurants in order to save money and reduce the environmental impacts; Sustainable packaging and waste management, they continue exploring ways to reduce the environmental impacts of consumer packaging and waste in our restaurant operations; And Green building design, they enhance their strict building standards to incorporate further opportunities for environmental efficiencies and innovation in the design and construction of the restaurants.

Walmart

Walmart’s responsibility is to provide better help for people, employees and customers alike, their ideas to help are, Associate opportunity, they plan to offer millions of people the opportunity to build long-term careers. They recruit U.S. military veterans and help transition active-duty personnel to civilian jobs. In India, for example, the Bharti Walmart Training Center prepares rural youth for jobs in retail and related industries; Sustainability. In fiscal 2010, they reduced their global plastic bag consumption by more than 16 percent, and continued to improve the efficiency of their U.S. truck fleet. This year, they are committed to reduce 20 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions in the supply chain by the end of 2015; Responsible sourcing. It is critical that sourcing decisions reflect their values and demonstrate respect for workers throughout the supply chain.
