Cloud-computing strategy for Healthcare Provider

With the advancement of the modern human society, basic essential services are commonly provided such that everyone can easily obtain access to them. Today, healthcare services are deemed necessary for fulfilling daily life routines. These utility services are accessed so frequently that they need to be available whenever the customers requires them at any time. Customers are then able to pay service providers based on their usage of these utility services. How to satisfy customers need is the key point for our healthcare providers. Because of higher requirement for our business, Cloud Computing and Software as a Service are gaining importance.

Business Applications:

For our healthcare providers, there are several applications need to be settled,

1. E-mail system. This is the basic application for our healthcare communication system. With email applied, providers can greatly reduce time spent on communication with patient.

2. Customer service. An important application for healthcare providers. Providers have to know the condition of patients regularly not only when they are in the hospital, but also after they leave the hospital. And we always want to make sure that patients can get the response from us whenever they need.

3. E-Procurement. Another important application for our healthcare providers. This will significantly speed up medical care supplies.

4. Data warehouse. This is extremely important because we need to keep every single patient’s health record in digit form..

5. Collaboration. Accountable care organizations and patient-centered medical home models will need to easily share information as well as offer more elastic pricing models than traditional licensed based offerings.

6. Financial System. Basically applied for our financial & accounting system.

By considering the possibility of adopting cloud-computing system, I would say e-mail, collaboration, data...
