BASELINE PROJECT PLAN REPORT - GROUP 2
Project name: Vehicle Management system & operation analysis.
1. Introduction
The project goal is to improve the vehicle management department operation into a measurable, up to date, performance based operation.
During the project we will study the activities and the needs of Vehicle Management Department Vs. expectations and requirements.
Database input forms and periodic reports will be provided, in order to allow traceability of VM activities. These forms and reports will be reviewed periodically to see the status of VM operation.
By the end of our study, we will be able to propose the following:
1. Define short and medium term goals.
2. Develop a method for performance measurement of operation, customer management and business/accounting.
3. Identify the crucial areas for improvement in operation, customer management and business process.
4. Suggest a improvement/recovery plan & time line for the issues found.
• Time line & tasks
Total of 14 weeks from start point – See Time Line & tasks
• Resources
1. A team of experts will be assigned during the project – See Resource requirements.
2. A committee will evaluate and decide on the findings & conclusions – See Resource requirements.
• Feasibility
The overall risk factor of the project Medium, due to high technical risk on and good economic, Organizational and political feasibility / low risk.
• Recommendation
1. Divide the project into two phases, the 1st phase goal is to overlook (study) the VM current issues and the 2nd phase will focus on System requirements definition, Feasibility & solutions assessment.
2. Establish a committee of 5 members made of VM and BS departments to evaluate and decide on the project team findings & conclusions, the same committee will be responsible on the recommendations implementation & any other follow up activities required once the project is completed.
