As Frances Reclutamento, the senior regional product manager at Purezza Pharmaceuticals, I have been in the company for more than 20 years. Seen as a highly capable and ambitious manager, I work very hard hoping to get promotion and increase my salary. North-East Asian campaign, the current project that I’m doing is important for the company. For developping our company and my own key performance indicator, my goal is to recruit some talented, committed and adaptable employees. Leslie Lee have done an internship in my section at PP last summer and showed that he is a perfect candidate for the recruitment. So my goal is to bring him into our company working on the North-East Asian campaign under my department.

With the information that the firm’s HR department gave me, I made my target as a $60,000 annual salary, 5% of annual base salary bonus which cannot be 100% guaranteed and working titled with graduate recruits in business development starting from Dec 1. The salary is more than that raised in the offer showing the sincerity of the recruitment. Bonus is made according to the basic circumstance of our company. And the starting date meets the need of the expected activity during the summer as the North-East Asian campaign really accelerates. My opening offer is the same as what the job offer which has been sent to Leslie in April said. The offer would be the fundament and beginning of our negotiation. As my priority is trying for letting Leslie accept the job offer, I made my resistance point at a very generous level: a $63,000 annual salary, a bonus of the 8% of annual base salary plus a signing-on bonus for $2000 and a Start date from mid-December which will give him the opportunity to enjoy his European trip with his Fiance. This almost satisfies all his need for now.
