Differentatiing

I believe a social policy that will affect the future of human service workers is sexuality. Since the change in generations sex has become a more common and leisure thing, that it is almost considered to be an activity instead of a special relation between a man and women. This brings up a serious issue in the human service world as more and more people are spreading sexually transmitted diseases. The issue is growing because some believe that sex is casual and this is the main reason why my topic is taken to lightly with their peers.

A public agency that will best represent my social policy is the Department of Health, this agency can provide awareness with reference to sexual relations. The Department of Health also works with other governments sectors, by accomplishing this they are able to provide health care protection and integrate healthy life style choices. A public organization might be effective by bringing a seminar and a service to local high schools across the entire nation. The seminar could include gruesome statistics of sexually active teens, pictures and facts of sexually transmitted diseases.

A private agency that will best represent my social policy is Healthy Teens, they provide educational resources and health services to pregnant teenagers, teen pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted diseases, and teen parenting.

The delivery system of a public organization would be different from a private organization because a private organization would be a setting such has a clinic. The clinic will provide all the same services that a public organization would offer but the method of outreaching is totally different, a public service can reach more people regarding sexual relations. For example a private clinic would be mostly heard of through pamphlets in doctor’s clinics and through recommendations from other doctors. Instead of the organization reaching out to teens, the teens would need to be reaching out to the clinics....
