My synoptic thesis for the accounts being similar between Mark, Matthew, and Luke are the accounts between Mark and Matthew whose documented accounts are identical with small differential details. Luke story is the same for the most part, but based on a third person point of view, because it seems he is telling his documented accounts from his personal point of view.

I am not the first person to think that Matthew wrote Mark biblical accounts as his own. Many believed that Matthew wrote his accounts before Mark simply because speculation started spreading rumor. Another being because Matthew was one of Jesus 12 Disciples and neither Mark nor Luke had any affiliation with Jesus hypothetically. With that being said these are a few more theories floating around that supports mine or go against it.

The first theory is the Traditional Theory (Augustinian Hypothesis) whereas Matthew is the original documenter of the numerous accounts found in the bible, Mark was the second one to come along find grammatical mistakes and correct the accounts, and Luke wrote his accounts from his stand point.

Next is the Greisbach Theory (Two-Gospel Hypothesis) which start similar with Matthew as the originator, but Luke as the one who rewrites the accounts and corrects them, and Mark as the third person this time.

This one is the one that I believe and agree is correct the Farrer/Goulder Theory (positing Markan Priority) which carries traits from the first theory which has Luke as the third person party, but unlike the first two theories Mark is the original documenter and Matthew was the one correcting all the errors later on.
