Devices

Some of the input/output devices that I will be using in the next 1 to 3 years on in how I use my computer would be my printer, key board, voice text and a flash drive to back up the work I do for school just in case my computer decides to crash.

The features/components/form factors that will be prominent I think will be tablets, because they offer the same convenience as a laptop but in a more compact package. I think that desktops will be used less and that tablets and TVs will become the prominent means for browsing the web, because more and more TVs are being equipped with wireless internet connections.

One of the things that would be important for me I would like to have a tablet or iPad, because they are easier to carry and are smaller than a laptop and it seems that we are moving from desktops to iPads and tablets as the primary personal computer source.

The applications I be using on these devices will be Microsoft Word, Excel, to do my school work and submit my assignments for class with.

The benefits of the devices I will use are that they make doing school work a lot easier because they provide a template for the work that I am doing for school and it makes it easier to store, organize and keep track of what I am doing. The only risk I can see is relying too much on these devices.
