Thematic Expository Essay

Freedom

Freedom is a cornerstone to our country as we see it today. Long before me and my grandfathers were born, american men were fighting, not for their lives, but for something even greater; other American lives. Freedom is why I can say what I will, and do what I please. If not for freedom my whole life would be drastically different. My god given rights are protected by the same documents these american heros defended and wrote. I am of course talking about the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and The Declaration of Independence. Although freedom has changed since the Revolutionary War, the idea will live on until everyone in this world has long passed. I have always enjoyed freedom, my whole life has been protected by this protecter of human rights, but other people who are less fortunate then I am struggle for freedom as many have. They battle and suffer. And for this i dedicate my loyalty to Freedom.

Loyalty

In my life today, loyalty plays a big role. I have friends who I trust, and there are also people I don’t trust. Loyalty is making promises and keeping them, It is staying with someone through rough times. A wise man once said, I'm looking over your shoulder, but only because I've got your back”. I like to live my life by this philosophy. Life is much easier with friends. But you have to make sure that you can keep those friends. Being loyal means a lot to someone and when you show this act of friendship it shows them that you care. Loyalty is also plays an important role in our society, not just in my life. Better shown than being loyal, is being unloyal. Baseball players who leave dynasties for more money, movie stars who wheel and deal lovers like there is no tomorrow. This shows how far being loyal can go for you, and what happens if you live your life without it.
