Australian Food, the cocktail of different culture is famous for its miscellany rich cuisines. Traditionally Australian cuisines were based on British cooking from its conception. Later Australian-cookery was enriched with multi-cultural contribution made by German, Italian, Greek, Asian and South African immigrant communities. The culture, history and food of each country within the Pacific region are influenced by both its Indigenous people and those people who have migrated from other countries around the world. European settlers had a major influence on the diets of modern Australians. Early and 20th Century European immigrants such as Germans, Italians and the French helped to pioneer and grow the Australian wine industry that had become so healthy by the 21st century. Immigration to Australia since 1945 has had a major multicultural impact upon Australian culture and in particular upon what Australians eat and drink.

*The biggest influence of all is Asian,followed by Greece, British , and some parts of Europe.

* The Asian countries such as China, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia influenced Australian food as early as the mid-20th century, when a few immigrants from various Asian countries came to the island. This influence increased the number vegetable dished found on the island.

*Chinese food in Australia began during the gold rushes, as some Chinese chose to establish Chinese cook shops, offering the Chinese mining community traditional Cantonese dishes based on fresh produce, fish, poultry, pork and rice. Chinese food was made in Chinese restaurants by Chinese Australians that has survived the white Australia policy. It wasn't until Asian people were being accepted into Australia after the Vietnam War that the influence of Chinese and other Asian cooking started to have a real impact on Australian cooking.
