Roberts is thinking of expanding her business into vintage car restoration business other than her three car dealerships, two auto parts stores, body/paint shop and one auto salvageyard. First of all, let’s look into the aspects of how the new proposed business fits withRASAS’s other businesses. In reality, most people like to have vintage cars which they believe it is antique and the price is rising at the rate of 15-20 per cent every year. The enthusiasts also just do not mind in putting lots of efforts in collecting and maintaining the beauty of their vintage cars. Some of them are also willing to buy vintage body partsand auto parts from manufacturers from across the country with higher price. As RASAS is already consists of three car dealerships, this vintage car restoration business also couldenter into the packages to make her business as all-in-one. The three other businesses and the new business can work interdependently to bring up RASAS’s reputation to be the best in car business. For example, to paint the car in the restoration process, Roberts can work with the managers working in the RASAS car painting business which is part of thesuccessful mini-empire.However, the nature of the markets served by the existing businesses is not made explicit in the case. It would then still be questionable as towhether these operations would be useful for the restoration business.
