His Success Potential Found During His Childhood

From his early age, he has pursued everything he got interested in with a true passion -- it was too intense that it seems much more like an obsession. His ambition or drive for success has made him achieve an eagle in a boy scout at the youngest age in Missouri, and, at football team during his high school age, his team has never been defeated.

More than that, he has got to learn the value of teamwork from his very early age. From his Boyscout, which needs a teamwork and cooperation for succeeding in camping and hiking or any kind of outdoor activities much labor is needed, he practiced and showed his talent for having kids well organized and try harder toward a same goal. Basically, he has liked running a team. Being not only a member of the team, he also directs the team as a leader.

Competition is another key for his success. Even as a child, if he sets a goal, he strives and competes to win and achieve the goal. Undefeated football team was an excellent example of his ability to compete. He has never wanted to lose the game. He has always wanted to win and expected to win as he has believed in himself to have enough ability to compete against rivals.

His work experience starting from his early ages has helped him learn a value of hard working and money. As he depicted in chapter ‘valuing a dollar’ and it is known from media, he has been frugal and deligent. His famous story picking a dime on a street is widely known. Asked by a reporter on why he picked a nickel or dime even though he was the richest man in the world, he answered that the money saved from company or himself could contribute directly to customer’s benefit.
