Chugh Email: chugh@fas.harvard.edu Teaching Assistant: TBA Course Objectives: The course presents an integrative framework to • Understand, analyze., interpret and forcast exchange rate movements • Understand the institutional structure, mechanisms and instruments of for‐ex markets • Understand the financial and strategic impact of for‐ex risk on the corporation • Understand the fundamentals of FX risk management • Understand Dynamics in Global Capital Markets The objective of the course is to promote financial literacy, provide a solid conceptual and theoretical foundation, and equip students with practical analytical tools necessary for problem solving in international corporate environment and global financial markets. Coursepack including HBS cases is available at the COOP. 3. Other material will be distributed and made available at the Grossman Library 4. Regular reading of the WSJ , the Financial Times & other business periodicals is required. Assignments: A. Case Write Ups All students are expected to come prepared for discussions of the reading materials and cases for all classes. Each student is expected to submit a write up of three cases—one from each category A, B, & C.. Each write up is due on the scheduled discussion date. Post date submissions will not be accepted.
