What is counselling?

Counselling provides a regular time and space for people to talk about their troubles and explore difficult feelings in an environment that is dependable, free from intrusion and confidential, which can help you to deal with specific problems, cope with crises, improve your relationships, or develop better ways of living.

Your counselling session will take place on the same day and time each week so it is important to choose a day and time that you know that you can commit to on a weekly basis.

How can it help me?

Through professional listening my aim is to

help you to understand and explore your thoughts, feelings and current behaviour in any situation that is causing you distress.

I will give you a safe space to explore these thoughts and feelings about yourself and

others which will help you to gain a better understanding of your emotional difficulties.

This understanding can allow you to start to

deal with your problems and I will be there to support you along your journey.

It is your time to be listened to in a safe, confidential enviroment where you can speak freely and openly about anything that is

effecting you and the way you live your life, without fear of being judged or ridaculed.

I can help you to explore your thoughts and fellings about:

*Abortion

*Alcohol misuse

*Anxiety

*Bereavement

*Bullying

*Depression

*Divorce

*Domestic violence

*Eating disorders

*Family break downs

*Miscarriage

*Overeating

*Panic attacks

*Rape

*Realtionship issues

*Sexuality

*Substance misuse

*Work related issThis is just a list of what some people may choose to bring to counselling. Sessions are 50 mins each and it is YOUR time to talk about whatever it is that you feel you need to

discuss. NO subject is off limits.
