Group 4: BUS500 People and Organization

Creativity Exercise

Once we were assigned the work on 15th of October, we agreed to have a brief discussion after the class on 19th.

19th of October

Group leader clarified the instructions from professor on the project and the due date of submission. However, some of us hadn’t read the instructions carefully in details. So it’s hard to make common understandings at that time. We were told by leader that to read the instructions first and come back with some ideas in our regular meeting.

24th of October

Our group of People and Organization regularly has a meeting every Monday at 7 pm to work on a group project. However, it was a midterm week and everyone wanted to focus on studying so we decided to cancel the meeting. Then, the work hadn’t been started even a little bit at that time.

26th of October

After we finished class, we agreed to have a meeting to work on this project on Monday 31st of October. Since we were late starting the work, we needed to done several first steps on our own. So everyone was told to do exercise in chapter3 as professor suggested to do and think individually about creative work on the project. Then bring each idea to the meeting on next Monday, so we can shorten time to do work.

31st of October

Finally, we had an official meeting for this project. And bellows I show you our timetable with discussion on each process of group meeting.

7:00 p.m. Case review

A group leader reviewed the case again in order to have a common understanding in a group.

7:03 p.m. Individual design presentation and discussion

Each of us showed what we had done so far individually, by drawing on paper and presenting interesting videos.

7:30 p.m. Brainstorming

We made comments on individual works and did brainstorming on how the work should be. However, it’s difficult to get the common idea that everyone satisfied. We struggled with bringing three sponsorships together and make them clear with...
