Letter about a day in my life

To: Whoever Opens This

Hi! My name is Michelle Wilkins. I am a 32 year old mother of four and have been married for 13 years as of 2011. We built our house on our own about 6 years ago on my husband’s family farm. My life today is very much the same every day. I get up around 6:30 a.m. and make sure my two older kids are up and getting ready for school. They leave on the bus and the younger two get up. We have a routine of cachous throughout the day. Of me working on school work and playing with them. I also get my nephew on every Wednesday to join the craziness. But he is the same age as my youngest so it works out well. Once the older kids get back from school I am either running to take or get them from practices five nights a week depending on the sport or activity. I try to make a homemade supper at least 4 nights a week with having something from the freezer the other nights. I don’t really get a lot of help from my husband during the busy months for farming. And what really sucks is that he works for Seed Company also so I have twice as long harvest then most. We are always on the go and trying to get everyone where they need to be and on time!!

Right now I am going through a somewhat of a life change. I decided to go back to school about a year and half ago. Since then I have received my Associates in Accounting and am now working on my Bachelors. I am looking forward to being done with my education and joining the work force next year. My goal was to be done with schooling when my younger two kids were going to school. With the craziness of our lives my husband and I still enjoy going out for a night or to party. This past week we booked our first real vacation without kids. We are going to Jamaica in five months with a group of friends that we met though our kids’ activities for one of their renewal vow ceremony. So in order to do this trip in a way that I...
