Nutrition and Fitness
For the human body to live nourishment must be supplied. Nutrition is the supply of food required by cells and organisms to stay alive. Fitness is the ability to perform activity physically. Fitness also means possessing the strength and energy for the body to feel as good as possible. Therefore, nutrition and fitness go hand-in-hand to improve ones health. By focusing on healthy nutrition and fitness one may prevent conditions, diseases, and other health problems.
This paper will focus on the current fitness and nutritional habits of Angelique Bondurant along with an explanation of health risks associated with obesity. A description of three new fitness and nutritional habits that can reasonably incorporated into Angelique Bondurant lifestyle will be discussed, along with how each new habit will promote a healthy weight and improve the general heath of Angelique Bondurant (University of Phoenix, Syllabus, 2010).
Current Fitness and Nutritional Habits
Angelique Bondurant always has been conscious of fitness and nutrition. She has always been active in sports and her first employment position was with National Health Studios, where she was an exercise and nutritionist expert. Bondurant believes staying fit and active will ensure one burns more calories, which will help manage one’s weight, while improving one’s heart, bones, lungs, and joints. Staying fit and healthy lowers one’s risk for heart attack, high blood pressure, cancers, diabetes, while it improves one’s mind, ability to handle stress, and helps one sleep better (Insel, 2008).
Nevertheless, over the last few years life has thrown a few curve-balls and Angelique may have neglected her positive fitness and nutritional habits. She is no longer working out with her daily routines and has started smoking again. She is however, still eating a healthy diet but...
