A summer to Remember
I stepped out through the open French doors to a land full of sand and ocean. I could smell the salty sea water. The sand under my toes, the rousing noise from the waves. A prefect beautiful day for a prefect summer day in the beach house my parents rented for the summer. Today was the 1st day of my summer. I could see kids making sandcastles, parents yelling at children, guys surfing, girls tanning, guys playing football and lots and lots of sun. I wanted to catch some sun myself so I put a big beach towel on the sand and plopped down and put on my headphones.
I must have fallen asleep on the beach because I was startled when something have tripped or fell on me.
“Um, hi you kind of fell on me?” I said
“Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, I was just playing catch with my friends!” he said. He was kind of cute. He had the surfer hair; you know longish but in this beautiful brownish blonde hair that was curled just a little. He had blue eyes that when he looked at me I could see the ocean right through. He was tall and buff.
“Oh that’s okay!” I said. Wait what did I just say. He looked kind of confused.
“I mean oh that’s okay, I’m not hurt or anything.” I said.
“Yeah, good!” he smiled. He put a hand out for me. I grabbed it and he pulled me up.
“I’m Lucas by the way, I live two houses away!” he said.
“Jenna, I live here! Just for the summer anyway!” I blabbed.
“Hey maybe we could hang sometime!” he said.
“Luke, you coming?” one of his friends said.
“Nice to meet you!” he said.
“Yeah you too!” I said. I was in total awe over him.
I later went out after a total huge shopping trip with my mom at Hermosa Beach plaza to the beach to find him. It seemed as he was waiting for me.
“Hello there!” he said. I jumped.
“Oh wow, you scared me!” I said still frighten.
“Sorry about that!” he said
“That’s okay!” I said
“So do you want to walk with me on the beach?” he asked.
