P&G is using IS in many ways to stay ahead in competition, brand-building, consumer understanding and innovation.

P&G uses IS to:

* Collect information directly from their consumers when they choose to participate in their offers and programs or otherwise provide information directly to them. So that the next time they visit their website they provide them the products they prefer and related products to that which save consumers time. Company collects this information from its consumers when they have a direct contact:

* Name, email address, postal address.

* Username and password.

* Phone number or mobile number.

* Age.

* Date of birth.

* Other information about you and your family such as gender or product use preferences and/or behaviors.

* Biometrics collected during volunteer consumer research studies (such as facial expression recognition, heart rate, and skin condition)

* Demographic information.

* Payment information (such as a credit card).

* Use cookies and other technologies to collect information about their consumers when they visit company sites, use their services, or view online advertisements. The following are examples of information P&G may collect with these technologies:

* Your browser type and operating system.

* IP address.
