The title of the article I chose to write about is "Genetic and Environmental Influences on Personality Trait Stability and Growth During the Transition to Adulthood: A Three-Wave Longitudinal Study," March 2011, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Authors are Christopher Hopwood, Brent Donnellan, Robert Krueger, Matt McGue, William Iacono, and Alexandra Burt. I chose to write about this article because it explains the stages in life from adolescence to adulthood.

The article begins by explaining the transition from childhood to adulthood. This article explains many personality traits and changes that happen from adolescence to adulthood and how these changes affect people emotionally and physically. I discovered by reading this article that there are positive and negative aspects of our genetics that play a factor in accounting for our personality changes.

Studies have concluded that there are two main types of personality stability, and they are absolute (mean level) stability and differential (rank order) stability. The article states that the present study was designed to address current gaps in knowledge about the influences on personality change during the transition to adulthood.

If I were to write a research paper on this topic I might use this article in some degree, but I think that I would look for more detailed information within other articles that have more so of a fact where as this article is based on a study that was conducted on participants that were same-sex male and female and twins from the Minnesota Twin Family Study (MTFS), which is a population-based sample of reared-together twins (Iacono & McGue, 2002). I personally think that to have an accurate result the research should have been on participants that were of no relationship....
