Code of Conduct:
It is important to understand the fundamentals of a code of conduct. Youth sports play a large role in developing a young person into a fully rounded adult. It is therefore extremely important that coaches parents and role models to encourage and embrace the values of good sportsmanship. The following list shows how respect, self-control and fairness play a huge role in the development of the youth.
* I will learn the rules and policies of the game, and league.
* I will be a positive role model for my athletes and encourage
Sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, any by demonstrating
positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every
game and practice.
* I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct
with any official, coach, player, or parent, such as booing and taunting,
refusing to shake hands, or using profane language or gestures, etc.
* I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the
health and well-being of the athletes.
* I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs,
alcohol, and tobacco.
* I will respect the officials and their authority during the games.
* I will demand that my athletes treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, sex, or ability.
* I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of the athletes ahead
of any personal desire I may have for my child to win.
* I will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game and will take
time to speak with coaches at an agreed upon time and place.
* I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a
mistake or losing a competition.
There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards parents, coaches and athletes should they violate this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply will be taken seriously and will result in dismissal pending further inquiry.
