Immigrants are of no benefit to developed countries. Do you agree? 

Immigrants are people who migrate to other country to settle other than their native country. Immigrants are of major benefit to developed countries due to the fact they are often employed in hard labour, make a significant contribution to GDP growth and also help making decisions that would lead to development of the country based on their experiences. However, some argue that they cause more conjunction in the country and they are of no real use. Truth be told, if it was not for them, there would be a national development crisis in the economies of many prosperous countries. 

First of all, immigrants provide developed countries with cheap workforce. Therefore, a big number of immigrants are employed in hard labour such as construction workers, loaders, etc. The reason why immigrants are often taken of these kinds of jobs is the fact that they are ready to work for less money than the citizens of the developed host country. For the same reason, immigrants are also often hired to fill lower job positions such as maids, cleaners, drivers and so forth. And lack of workforce from overseas can actually become a roadblock to countries development. Keeping in mind that the population of UAE nationals in age range from 15 to 65 is only around 800,000 (CIA, 2008), it is more than obvious that in order to keep up with growth in different industries, this country needs to attract human resources from other countries. 

Secondly, immigrants make a significant contribution to the economy of the host country. As it was mentioned before, they offer their services at lower price as compared to salaries demanded by citizens.
