High Performance Workplace Paper
High performance workplaces are becoming the model for company success. The advantages they offer over more traditional settings in many cases are far superior. High performance workplaces offer a greater chance at group moral, employee dedication, and better performance. These advantages have led to many companies using these models as oppose to the more traditional structure. Most major companies today offer employee benefits, profit sharing plans, and more importantly a sense of ownership in the success of the organization.
The differences are vast when comparing traditional and high performance workplaces. Motivation is at the apex of these differences (www.aiel.it 2007). Without motivation the foundation on which a high performance workplace exist is absent. Higher wages, rewards, and better benefits are at the center of this motivation. A paycheck in today’s world is not the only reason a person chooses to join an organization. The opportunity for additional benefits plays a major role in the decision of what organization to become a part of and ultimately dedicate their skills to make better. These workplaces invest in their people and realize that employees are among the highest valued assets. High performance workplaces include higher levels of communication, honesty, and trust. This results in an overall higher job satisfaction level with its employees. These additional benefits show why the difference between higher performance and traditional workplaces highlight the superiority of the high performance environment.
