I need help understanding why each of these bullet points is considered errors and how do I avoid making these errors?

Error avoidance in CAS:

One advantage of the joint postmodern/complexity lens is that managers might avoid some errors that would otherwise be pitfalls. Some of these are identified in the following list.

1) Failing to account for employees' ability to learn safe machine operation methods by experimenting on their own with ways to speed up production and thereby reduce the effort they are required to use,

All new skill sets must be monitored by another employee or vendor who has expertise with a new type of machinery. Failure to receive this type of education can make the company liable for injuries to employees who did not get an adequate training on the new methods. Safety is a company’s badge of honor and creating a situation where employees can be injured is not a normal practice. Speed is not as big an issue as safety. Once the worker is safe on the equipment, the speed will follow.

2) Putting all employees through the same orientation program regardless of differences in cultural interpretations of organizational hierarchies and thereby missing the potential for conflict among employees and between employees and management caused by different expectations of roles.

There are a few items in orientation that may apply to the same employees in an organization. Beyond that, the times you spend with each employee become specific to the nature of their job. If you try to make everyone orientation a “cookie cutter” approach, you will either lose their interest or have complaints about the worthlessness of the orientation process. There are so many levels of employment in any business. Using a computer assembling plant as an example, you will have different skills on the line to assemble.
