One of the most common disorders is the Psychiatric disorder that is suffered both by women, men and even children. Only a clinician or a psychiatrist psychologist can diagnose and treat the psychological functions of this disorder. It is believed that psychiatric disorders are the cause of a dysfunctional mind, which is the absence of brain pathology while the closest disorder common with psychiatric disorder is the neuropsychological disorder, which is the product of dysfunctional brains. In total there are eight disorders that affect the way a person thinks and behaves, these disorders are Anxiety Disorder, Mood Disorder, Somatoform & Psychosomatic disorders, Personality Disorders, Dissociative Disorders, and Childhood and Schizophrenic disorders. The one disorder that is left out but is very common and is suffered by many is the sexual disorder. To diagnose and treat a sexual disorder is very common and can be very beneficial to the patient as well as being effective.

The bases for a sexual disorder or also known as dysfunction normally have a psychological cause or a physical basis that have resulted into stress. The difficulty in diagnosing each sexual disorder is that many symptoms overlap other common disorders making it hard for a diagnosis to be made. For instance a person who is suffering from a sexual disorder could also be suffering at the same time from anxiety, frustration, and depression. This can then turn into the patient suffering insomnia; the patient then goes and informs that doctor that they are suffering from insomnia but forgets to tell the doctor about the other symptoms.
