Hartman Industry

The Hartman Industries, LLC is a corporation made up plants in Albany, Georgia, Hangzhou, China, Pontiac, Michigan, and the Head Quarters in San Jose, California. The plants are set up to run efficiently and economically to receive mass production with the least cost possible. The process use to incorporate this production process is Just in time production (JIT), which is a pull system that means orders will not be processed until an actual order has been taken. This means that stock levels of raw materials, components, work in progress and finished goods can be kept to a minimum. This requires a carefully planned scheduling and flow of resources through the production process. Supplies and materials are delivered to the plant when they are ready to be put into production.

The plant in Albany, Georgia, produces bottle caps in the standard palette of colors. The plant does not take special orders, therefore the dyes and any mixtures need come pre-mixed. This process requires additional room in the warehouse to store the predetermined colors. However, production time and costs are reduced to a minimum while eliminating the procedure of mixing dyes to obtain a variety of colors.

The plant in Hangzhou, China produces plastic fan blades and fan housings. This is home grown production plants that provides the most of the operational capital, molding machines and the expertise and know how to operate them. The majority of the production and disposal of waste products are done by Chinese Partners. The cleaning and maintenance of the machines along with the collection of waste chemicals are also handled by countrymen.

The Pontiac plant handles the production of custom plastic pieces. The plant is also responsible for the production of all medical products produced by the company.
