Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

A woman walks into a grocery store to pick up dinner for her family that night. As she is walking through the store, she finds a women and a child, with the child throwing a tantrum. All she can do is look at the women and wonder why she is not doing anything about it. In today’s society there are too many children being diagnosed with ADHD.

According to Woodward, it is estimated that 3% - 5% of United States children have ADHD (2006). ADHD runs in families. If one parent has it there is a 60% chance that his/her child will have it too.
