The secret to success in this business is being in front of people. The primary role of my first hire (Agency Representative) will be to make sure I am in front of the right people to sell my product. An Agency Representative will be hired within the first 2-4 months of acquiring my agency whose duties will include the following:

• Answer all calls in a timely matter

• Greet clients

• Update insured’s information

• Agency mailings

• Prepare, maintain and print daily calendars and secure client folders for all appointments

• Schedule 3 review appointments daily, 2 P&C and 1 Life

• Schedule 3 new business appointments or obtain x-date information from marketing sources, 2 P&C and 1 Life

• Create and implement internal/external marketing plans with agent

• Obtain new customer lists

• Input all loss reports taken

• Keep detailed documentation of all contact with insured, claims office, other parties

• Follow up with insured upon completion of loss to ensure satisfaction

• Assist clients whenever possible with billing questions

The Agency Representative will be someone that is upbeat, talkative, friendly, self-sufficient, computer literate, resourceful and projects a good attitude. This person will not accept “no” too easily, but also does not come across as pushy. This position may already be filled in the agency assigned to me. If this is the case, this staff person will be interviewed by me to ensure the above qualifications are met. This position will begin as part time at 30 hours per week with an hourly wage of $12-$13/hour. The position has the potential to be full time depending upon the success rate of the agency.
