Thesis: Music serves as more than just an entertainment form of popular media because it shapes the public beliefs, values, and way of life by enhancing education, businesses, and society.

There are different forms of popular media include music, books, and movies. I personally am passionate about a form of popular media, which is music. Music has played an important part of my whole life. I have listened to many genres of music and I like all of them. I can relate to music in many ways. Some songs contain lyrics that speak out personally to my life and me. Music is everywhere in cars, restaurants, elevators, malls, and the majority of the public places. Music is more than just a piece of entertainment because it can be used as a career to musicians, relaxation aid, a learning tool for children, artist way to tell a story, a way to write individuals, and etc. Musicians use music as a way to make a living so to me it is more than just a way to entertain. Music is known to help individuals relax by listening to classical music or a low- key slow music. Children use music to learn new things such as lullabies, the alphabet, farm animals, etc. The lyrics of some songs contain a story that the artist wants to share to the world. They use this sharing as a form of theraphy to share their feelings through songs. Lastly, individuals also use music as a way to unite with others such as group meetings to share about songs, concerts, or church where they use music to worship God music has been a huge part of culture. Every culture enjoys their own special kind of music that defines them as individuals and their beliefs. Music is worldwide and admired by many individuals worldwide no matter the culture. Music is used worldwide in many different cultures, which make it a legitimate form of popular culture and music is used in many different ways besides entertainment.
