Group Policy, administrators can take advantage of policy-based management by Enable one-to-many management of users and computers throughout the enterprise. Active Directory makes it possible to manage all users, computers, and software on the network through administrator-defined policies - Group Policy.

Fine-tuning Policy Permissions – Filtering an advantage is that the policy only applies to certain users. The disadvantage is that policy setter’s administrators can forget that they are authenticated users and lock themselves out. Assigning software is an advantage if there is a business case administrators can assign the application from the start menu-giving administrator the advantage of delivering service packs and programs from one centralized place.

The limitation or disadvantage is that you can only administer certain types of software through this process. Disadvantage of excessive group policies giving group members limited access to the network this will cause the administrator to push all information. The length Habbi’s should go to implement group policy remain within the password and filtering limiting desktop and local drives, will require extra administration by management. Policies should be limited to user levels and not implemented to all users.

The recovery console is a computer users friend this tool will help the computer user start his or her computer when the system will not boot properly. Every computer owner and user should create a recovery disk. Below is a tutorial on creating a recovery disk to help when you must use the recovery console.

Install the Recovery Console

1. Insert the Windows 2003 CD into the CD-ROM drive.

2. Click Start, and then click Run.

3. In the Open box, type d:\i386\winnt32.exe
