Introduction

Two major giants in the automotive industry plan to enter into a merger in 1997. A company which invented the car and had been in the market for than a century based in Europe and other who adopted car manufacturing in the USA. This had been hyped in the industry as a “Merger of Equals” and touted to be one of the major mergers in recent history.

Major news articles quoted “This merger would totally change the industry structure and how it operated. This merger would take the new company to the top in the automotive industry.”
