INTERNAL CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Supply Chain Management is the oversight of materials, information and finances as they move in a process from supplier to manufacturer to retailer to consumer. Supply Chain Management involves coordinating and integrating these flows both within and among companies. Therefore quality managers must integrate their firm’s practices with those of customers and suppliers. And it is clearly identified that the supplier quality management and customer focus are two quality management practices in supply chain management. Integrating quality management and supply chain management will be important for future competitiveness. This study has set in the context of quality management into the supply chain and by increasing confidence in the relationships among internal quality management practices and performance.

Objectives

1. Investigate the original relationship among quality management practices.

2. Examine the impact of low impact variables towards quality.

The remainder of the report is organized as follows. The literature used to identify the quality management practices is briefly viewed. The research model and the related hypotheses pertaining to the relationships among quality management practices and firm performance are offered. Followed by construction of the instrument and measures, the survey procedure, the sample and analyses used to confirm construct validity. Implication of results, limitations and further research opportunities will conclude this report.
