Evaluation of the Business Code of Ethics

In this paper, the subject to discuss is an evaluation of Air Force code of conduct. The mission of the Air Force is to fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace (AirForce.com, 2011). This is all possible with the technology and mindset that no one can dominate the air for as long as we have in the last 200 years.

Modifying Their Existing Code of Ethics

The writer does not see any reason to modify the existing code of ethics. Each area is broken down so that no matter if, we are at war or peacetime soldiers understand their duties. Every branch of the military adheres to the same code of conduct. This way there is no miss interpretation of the code of conduct between each branch of service.

Reactions to the Code are to be Expected From Employees and Managers

When signing up to join the military reading the code of conduct is one of the first things we read to personnel. Each person is sworn in and takes an oath to obey the code of conduct and standards before going to basic training. Every soldier’s job is stand by the oath to the death or until their enlistment is done. The code of conduct is reviewed every year to make sure it conforms to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The Effect of the Code on the Organization

The effect it has on the organization is always being willing to die for your country or get out. The strong will prosper and the weak will be booted out. The way military personnel hold themselves when in public, makes them look proud to be part of making a difference for our country.

The Effects the Organizational Culture have on the Acceptance of the Code

The culture of the organization knows what its duty is when the sign up. Not everyone always agrees with if we go to war with a particular country. It is up to the President to explain why we are going to war and what our mission is. Then our job...
