1. Introduction
Through this chapter the writer will try to give a clear idea about the personal and professional skills are required to be an effective manager and how these skills help to meet the strategic direction of an organization.
A Manager is an individual accountable for scheduling and coordinating the effort of a collection of people, accessing their effort, and captivating remedial act when needed. For various people, this is their primary step into an administration vocation. Managers may express employees directly or they may express a number of supervisors who express the employees. Manager must be recognizable with the occupation of every groups, he/she supervises, but does not require existing the top in several or all of the areas.
Johnson, et al. (2009) writes in his book "Strategy is the direction and scope of an organisation over the long-term: which achieves advantage for the organisation through its configuration of resources within a challenging environment, to meet the needs of markets and to fulfil stakeholder expectations" and managers in an organization are responsible for creating and implementing strategy.
The executive skills comprise a series of objective design, devotion, response, remuneration, and execution, with human communication at every turn, so, a administrator should have sufficient individual and professional skills to please the company by using his/her potency.
1.1 Effective management skills
To be an effective manager, whether corporate or non-profit, a set of particular skills is needed. This is true in any leadership position from department supervisors to business and office administrators. Planning, leading, organizing, controlling etc. are the key management skills required to be an effective manager.
