Depression Paper

Unipolar and bipolar depression is both very common. They both have devastating effect on people. There has numerous of studies and documentations on these types of depressions. I will review the causes, symptoms, and treatment for both unipolar and bipolar depression.

Some people that experiences symptoms of depression that has lasted for at least two weeks or more and it is also interferes with their lifestyles are going through is what is known as either major or unipolar depression. Unipolar is when an individual experiences depression without having the mood swings. This person may have feelings of sadness and even worthlessness. They also may experience changes in their sleep and eating patterns. Some people that experience unipolar depression may have certain symptoms such as agitation, they also may have concentrating. They also may experience fatigue, a sense of hopelessness, inactivity, and withdrawal from family, friends, and society.

Many people that haves a low self-esteem or cannot has stressful situations are more likely to develop some think of depression. For instance a some women will develop some kind of depression after the give birth to their children. This is caused by hormonal and physical changes that the women experiences after she gives birth. A lot of times women that are new mothers often experience some of the same symptoms as people do that have depression, but the difference is that new mothers will only experience these symptoms for a short period of time, if the symptoms continues these women will have to get some kind treatment to help them with their depression.
