Abstract

Internal and External System users are the users you see everyday doing day-to-day work. These users consist of clerical, service workers, technical and professional staff, supervisors, middle managers, and executive managers. The external users are: customers, suppliers, partners, and employees. Each one of these users uses information system one way or another even if that is by inputting data into the computer or solving technical issues. As an employee and a customer I use internal and external on a daily basis. As a Human Resource Technician I am always inputting information on a tracker or share drive where other people in our office can go to the drive and see what I have done.

The problem that our office is running into right now is the email migration. We have to make sure that we are following all the steps before the migration begins or we will lose all our emails. However, as of right now we are unable to receive or email anyone due to the migration not being completed. Another problem that we have with our computers is when we are not able to access something we have to put in a 911 ticket and then wait until our S6 personnel receives it and then come and fix our computer. The reason why this is a problem is because there are times we need our computer fixed that day and not the next day.

System Improvements

The nature of the information system that I have selected is Internal and External System Users. The reason why I chose both of these is because I have worked on both sides. Internal System Users are employees of the businesses for which most information systems are built. These users make up the largest percentage of information system users in most businesses.
