This paper will examine the business problems experienced at Club IT and provide recommendations for resolving them by applying solid IT solutions. By making use of the most updated IT solutions, Club IT will continue to grow into a successful player on the nightclub scene, enhancing their prospects for longevity and allow the owners to realize their dream.

Club IT has three main business problems, the lack of up to date IT solutions limits it resources, limited ability to strengthen and grow their relationships with their customers and antiquated supply chain management methodology. The lack of up to date resources limits their ability to manage its business operations. While their internal site was more robust it was not effectively organized or streamlined as it could be which can lead to inefficiencies. Their customer’s are typically web savvy and a part of the always connected Net generation, but the business is not maximizing their ability to use their web savvy to pre-purchase tickets due to lack of e-business solutions to support ticket ordering or payment processing. Lastly their supply chain management relies on emails, phone calls or fax to maintain their inventory. This method does not allow for precise inventory control, quick inventory replenishment or the ability to know exactly where the club stands with its inventory.

Club IT’s first order of business should be to invest and deploy an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which can be integrated into the current system that will allow for streamlining of the Club’s operations. The leading ERP software provider, SAP, offers three different small business solutions specifically SAP Business One. This solution would provide an all encompassing ERP that will allow Club IT to “instantaneously access a complete and up-to-the-minute view of your business, so you respond to customers faster and grow your business more profitably” (SAP, n.d).
