Website Purpose and Architecture Plan

University of Phoenix

A website that I would like to design even though there are many out there is a site discussing the University of Florida Football. The proposed website domain name is www.floridafootballnuts.com and hosting of the website will cost ten dollars a year charge with domain registration being included at the initial hosting stage of twelve dollars. The site mission is to allow for fans of Florida Gator football to gather and discuss all things related to Florida Gator football.

The web site audience will be men and women of all ages that want to discuss Florida Football or just to see what is going in the program or check scores from previous games or year statistics.

The web site content will consist of stats, articles, history, and forums. The site will also contain logos of the school and the school fight song to go along with the site. This will require permission from the University of Florida, but with the right plan they will approve for no kind of payment.

Navigation will include site map and on-page links which will be generated dynamically. All the pages will contain secondary links that will be: Home Page, stats, articles, history and forums. All pages will contain a breadcrumb trail with the site map be collapsible/expandable, dynamically generated, placed on its own page and always visible on the footer. The standard website navigation system includes; links, site index or image map and dropdown or left-slide. The hyperlinks are tittles joined to related page sections which hold detailed contents. The links also facilitate site navigation and search engine penetration. Text with different color scheme and graphics are used to provide linkage to site sections.
