The regulation is about restricting the use of cell phones while driving, this regulation is proposed by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), DOT.. This regulation interest me because it effects lots of people, they are lots of people who use cell phones while driving. I have seen many people using cell phones or texting while driving and seen many reports in which people have gotten into serious accident which has resulted in serious injury or death. This regulation will affect everyone including me because with the rampant increase of technology people are wired to their gadgets and cell phones. A regulation or law that enforces no use of cell phone will keep people from being distracted and more focus on driving. When person is driving, he is responsible for his life and the people on the road. It is a very big responsibility that should not be taken lightly. This proposed regulation is more toward commercial vehicle drives but it effects everyone because we all share the same road and highways.

The agency proposes disqualification or sanction on commercial vehicle drivers who use cell phone while driving. The new commercial vehicle drivers license will be revoked and the other will be given warning and has to pay fine.
