Part 2 Return to Work Policy

See below a sample of a policy developed for an organisation and would be displayed in the workplace on various staff notice board locations. The policy will form part of the wider Injury Management integrated program of the organisation. This program will be available for workers reference on the organisations intranet. The Return to Work Coordinator will be available for questions and the education of workers rights with respect to occupational injury management in the workplace.

Injury Management & Rehabilitation Policy (2011)

The main focus of the Occupational Health & Safety program for your organisation and of the management team is the prevention of work related injuries and illness. In the event of an injury or illness occurring, a comprehensive rehabilitation or Return to Work program has been developed. The Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998 requires that all employers establish a Workplace Injury Management program through policies and procedures, for the rehabilitation of any injured workers of the employer.
