Executive Summary: One of the major deaths in Mozambique, located in Southeastern Africa, bordering the Mozambique Channel, between South Africa and Tanzania, is the lack of sanitary water. Approximately 43% of the population (22 million) only has access to an improved water source and 32% have access to adequate sanitation.

Major infectious diseases like waterborne diseases (bacterial and protozoal diarrhea) are fairly common in Mozambique. Pollution of surface and coastal waters is a current environmental issue that this country faces. Poor and uneven access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation is a key cause of cholera and diarrhea, a vital cause of child illness and death. We have developed an environmentally friendly and inexpensive solution to combat Mozambique’s water problem. With our water service, Mozambicans won’t have to rely on unsafe water sources like rivers and be susceptible to waterborne diseases.
