BUGusa inc. is a company which designs, manufactures, and sells electronic recording devises. Recent activities between BUGusa inc. and WIRETIME Inc will be examined. Next an examination of competitors’ actions will be exposed. Furthermore, torts directly or indirectly committed by WIRETIME inc. and BUGusa Inc will be examined. Also, internal security measures taken by BUGusa Inc to protect valuable information from external forces.
A. Legal Protection
Bugusa, Inc is a United States based company that designs, manufactures, and sells electronic recording devises. They maintain large government contracts for multiple law enforcement agencies. Bugusa, Inc is currently serving the domestic market and is looking to expand into the international market; furthermore, they have multiple employees who have designed and wrote the software that runs the recording devices. However, with the expansion need to look at intellectual property to protect the growing company. In addition, intellectual property is a set of exclusive rights that are recognized in corresponding fields of the law. The exclusive rights consist of a variety of tangible assets ranging from copy rights, trademarks, patents, industrial design rights, and trade secrets. A company such as Bugusa Inc will need to file for multiple IP types to protect themselves from competition and being that they plan to expand international the need to protect the brand is greatly important.
