Business ethics in China has many issues within and globally. China has a different set
of ethical priorities, than its western partners. China has developed an unethical attitude toward
dealing with issues outside China, developed a rich ethical system when it comes to their own
ethical behaviors within China. The article selected talks about the issues that have recently
surfaces in and out of China. The corrupt activities from China affect all transaction. The affect
hurts pricing, motivating promotions, marketing strategies, professional market research and
world class product developing. The differences in cultures have a great effect on ethical
behaviors. It is important for everyone to understand cultures around the world in order to have
a successful business.
China has been accused of many scandals over the years, injecting water in meats for
weight gain and toys with lead in them and the tainted milk is only a few of the corruptions that
have happened in China. Despite that fact that China has ethical issue problems they have the
second best economy in the world. As far as regulations and litigation practices China is very
relaxed. The code of ethics in China is important to the whole world because they are becoming
a large asset to the business world. The 18 codes include finding a common ground to
understand other cultures. Playing fairly, analyzing facts for a honest outcome, having respect
for colleagues, provide safe working condition to be more productive, making their performance
transparent to inspire trust, acting as a fair competitor by establishing a name brand, are only a
few ways to remain ethical when dealing with other countries and their businessmen. The codes
were made to assure the best ethical business possible. The codes have been ignored and China
