Diabetes – A Polygenic disease that is a lifelong characterized by abnormally high glucose levels that is in the blood. There are several metabolic disorders marked by excessive urination and persistent thirst all the time. There are three types of diabetes type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Type 1 diabetes can happen at any age, but it is most often diagnosed in teens, young adults, and children of any ages. With this disease, the body will make little or no insulin. Most of the time you will have to be injected with insulin. Type 2 diabetes is now being diagnosed in adult, teens, and young adults because of people with obesity problems. A lot of people who have type 2 diabetes do know that they have it. Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar that can develop at any time during pregnancy in women who does not normally have diabetes. First in order to understand diabetes you must know that the normal process by which food is normally broken down and used by the body for energy. There are many things that could happen when the food is digested like the glucose enters the blood stream and glucose is a source of fuel. The symptoms for are blurry vision, excess thirst, fatigue, frequent urination, hunger, and weight loss. Type 2 diabetes normally develop slowly in people do not know they have it. People have to go to doctor in order for them to get diagnose for diabetes. The doctor has to check your blood sugar in order to tell if you are a diabetic. When your blood sugar is high the doctor will put you on medicine to reduce your blood sugar.

The risk factor for type 1 diabetes is a family history of a lifelong, chronic disease. The American Diabetes Association recommends that anyone who has in immediate relative of your immediate family such as: your mother, father, sister, or brother, should get screened or checked for diabetes.
