Introduction
The paper will demonstrate the writer’s past experiences in small group and organizational behavior to incorporate what the writer gained from the class. The writer will also analyze some of the key points contributing to small group success. Most researchers define a small group as having at least three and no more than twelve or fifteen members to fulfill the definition for small group. When a group reaches three members, the formation of coalition group is created that can present some kind of organizations.
Communication between members is critical to the success of the group. Therefore, members must be able to communicate freely in order to tackle any concerns that arise between members of the group. If the channels of communication between groups are open the interaction and confidences will develop a higher level of achievement for the group’s goal. These types of confidences will encourage group members to achieve a common purpose. Any time a group of people are put together, there will always be tension and conflict, but if the interaction and confidence between group members are strong, these will bring the group together in a positive ways. Married couples are an example of what group interaction and confidence can bring to achieve a common purpose. There will be times disagreement cannot be avoided in small group interaction, but to drag any situation in a negative way could be a problem for the group.
