Training needs assessment by TBL

1) Bank’s need assessment

To perform its organizational needs analysis, the band examines its proposed training projects with respect to the bank’s goals, objectives, and strategies. The following things are considered to assess the training needs of the Bank –

a) Whether the corporate culture will support the training and development programs align with and support the mission, goals and strategies of the bank

b) Whether the top management fully support the training program

c) Whether the training programs affect negatively other areas.

d) Whether the cost of the training program is within budget.

2) Task needs assessment

The goal of the job needs assessment is to isolate the specific requirement of the job. The areas of the job to provide training is determined based on nature of the job, complexity of the job, employee performance level on the job.

3) Employee needs assessment

The employee needs assessment is determined by the bank based on whether a gap exists between the requirements of a job and the skills of the employee who perform it.

Categories of Training Provided by TBL

There are four categories of training by TBL. These are given bellow-

1. Fresher’s Foundation Training:

When TBL employs new employees then it provides a preliminary training program what is called Fresher’s foundation training. Here the newly employed employees are given about the following issues-

a. Introduction about TBL

b. The mission of TBL

c. The vision of TBL

d. Financial structure of TBL

e. Corporate rules and regulations of TBL

f. Various departments of TBL

g. Branches of TBL

i. Annual performance evaluation procedure
