Mitigation Strategies and Solutions

Axia College

For my mitigation strategies and solutions I have selected water resources because I believe that water resource is water pollution. Water pollution began in the nineteen century in the urbanization, industrial development areas.

After doing my research on how water pollution started I came up with that in Egypt and India people used the water a lot to live. They used metal to cook and peat to purpose like washing and heating their homes and the water was the main source they had. With all the usage of the metal germs began to build and wash into the water making it unhealthy to drink. According to Wikipedia.com (2010) “ European used ships to travel everyday back and forth to England and London in 1272” with coal and the ships ran off oil making the water dirty and unlivable for fish. Water resource is the main force of us to live off and we need water for basically everything.

There are different types of water pollutions. One is freshwater resource and that results from land runoff, precipitation, atmospheric, and drainage that’s in the urbanization communities. Another thing that has to do with water pollutions are ship oils and dumping onto the sewage and the human activity that cause build up into the water. With all the pollution the toxins kills the ecosystem and people has a negative impact also. Another type of water resource is contaminated drinking. If people drink water that’s contaminated it will cause ear, eyes and throat irritation. I’m not sure if it can cause asthma and chronic bronchitis however pollution can lead to anything in health. Water pollution has caused a lot of problems in drinking water supplies, wildlife and even swimming. People are buying spring water to be able to drink runoff water will most likely have chemicals in them.

Human population is also a big problem on the demand of water supply. The...
