Abstract

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. It is appropriate at any age and at any stage of an illness, and it can be provided along with treatments that are meant to cure. I have added my thought on 21st century trend. I had gathered my data by Other Reports. The goal of Palliative care team offers a variety of services in relieving the suffering and improves quality of life for both the patient and their family. The quality of the Nurse-patient is priceless, the nurse participants found that their relationships with patients evolved into friendships and that they became part of patients’ families. In 2005, NHPCO launched a national consumer and community engagement initiative to improve care at the end of life. Sometimes there are conflicts that arise in the patients with palliative care, and sometimes the nurse can influence the patients to achieve a common goal, help bring vision into the future and to take risks. Nurses can have that ability, because of their personal and Referent Power. Palliative Care team is there to ensure that end-of-life wishes are valued and respected, and their values and ethics are respected and not die alone or in pain.
